The city is set to make a $2 billion investment to attract and preserve some of the world’s most iconic sights.
The Texas Tourism Infrastructure Authority (TTIA) on Tuesday unveiled its 2017-18 Vision for Houston’s Future.
The Vision focuses on the city’s attractions, hotels, restaurants and other businesses, and calls for a “complete redesign” of its downtown area.
It also calls for improvements to existing buildings, a new city park, an extension of the City Hall grounds and other infrastructure improvements.
Among its goals are:
